Aerolab is one the most renowned Product Design agencies in Argentina. Collaboration and creativity are at the core of what they do and, when they launched their new website, they invited us to collaborate with other illustrators and animators to bring their logo to life with a mix of Illustration and Motion Design.

Expanding a Product Agency's Brand Story Through Illustrations

A great digital product is a combination of a smooth user experience and an impactful user interface. Aerolab's website was intended to work as a sample of their skills to -as they put it- combine science and magic. We wanted to add and extra bit of magic to their already amazingly crafted site.

Diversity, collaboration, adaptability, creativity. What better way to convey all of that than gathering a team of diverse people to collaboratively create worlds that merge into each other? To live up to Aerolab's values, we pushed ourselves to find the most creative and beautiful environments we could come up with.

This project involved Aerolab's in-house brand team and a group of visual artists. We wanted to make sure that the styles were different enough, but also lived well together. We aligned expectations on our very first meetings.

This was a very experimental assignment. On the early stages, we created several quick sketches to bring ideas to paper and test them with the team.

The Results

Aerolab's team members were very happy about the two worlds we created for their homepage. The images have been reused as social media posts and brand merch, showing that we were able to meet their expectations, represent their brand values and add a bit of magic to the company's storytelling. 

Aerolab's logo -a kite- symbolizes creativity and the will to challenge themselves to reach new heights. After their rebranding, and staying true to the company's values, the team challenged us to create two wildly different worlds that lived inside of their logo. The animations would live in their Homepage and had to welcome visitors a with a delightful first impression.

The Challenge

Once the concepts were approved, we moved to finalizing the artwork, testing several color palettes on the way. Our Motion Designer helped us make sure that all or our ideas were feasible for an animation meant to live online. We didn't want a heavy video affecting Aerolab's website loading times.
